Dear Lunch Room friends, It’s fall in Mark’s Carts food cart courtyard, which means dining beside the campfire and enjoying hot food and drinks from The Lunch Room. Our food cart will be open until November 12! You still have many opportunities to visit us and we hope to see you often. The next season starts in early March. Our fall hours: Mon & Wed: 11:30 am to 4 pm Tues & Thurs: 11:30 am to 7 pm Friday: 11:30 am to 9 pm Saturday: 11:30 am to 3 pmNote: we may close during inclement weather. Here is our fall menu: • Pad Thai tofu • Aloo Yoop stew (potatoes/sweet potatoes & more veggies in a curry-coconut-milk broth) with rice • BBQ tofu platter — with rice and tangy Thai slaw • Tangy Thai slaw • Kids’ meal — PB&J, applesauce, carrot sticks, cookie • Super yummy cookies • Ice cream sandwich — Coconut Bliss ice cream on our homemade cookies • Tamari roasted almonds • Hot spiced cider • Hot chai — made with almond milk • Cans of cold sparkling drinks There are two upcoming special events in the courtyard! FOOD CARTS COOK-OFF Saturday, October 8 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Enjoy free samples of dishes from each of the food carts and vote for your favorites. The contest is sponsored by Le Creuset cookware. This will be food-cart cuisine at its finest! MARK’S CARTS HALLOWEEN PARTY Friday October 28 from 7 to 9 pm This free event includes a dance party with Charlie Slick and the Thunda Clap, campfire, marshmallow roasting, costumes, and trick-or-treating. Hot foods and drinks will be available from the carts. Bring the whole family. You don’t have to live without us during the off-season! The Lunch Room food cart will be popping up around town to serve snacks and meals. We will send out a list of events in early November and will keep things current on our Facebook and twitter sites and on our website. And remember you can purchase our cookies any time at Lab Cafe. More details and a reservation sheet will be coming in early November. Order vegan Thanksgiving entrees and side dishes from us! We will be accepting orders large and small for a range of items that will make your Thanksgiving dinner easy and special. Keep us in mind for your holiday parties and gift-giving.
